Elegant, safe, easy & durable

The philosophy of the MAINFURL furling boom is to be able to handle the mainsail on large yachts with a shorthanded crew in a safe and easy way.

The furling boom comes with a unique furling system, either in a manual version with an endless reefing line or as an electric version with a Reckmann BFE motor built in the mandrel. The electric system is operated with pushbuttons.

No matter if the system is manual or electric, you operate it from the cockpit which makes the boom safe and easy to handle.

If the wind increases and you have to reef the mainsail, you can easily furl the main to one of the battens, so the batten is right under the mandrel – very easy and safe.

Mainfurl

A fit for all yachts

The MAINFURL furling boom is built to fit both brand-new yachts but also for refit on an older yacht. We built the furling boom to fit all existing fittings on your mast, making it more or less a “plug ‘n’ play” solution. We supply for yachts from 35` and up to 90`

Our product range

High quality & innovative design

This state-of-the-art, V-shaped, slimline boom comes with a body made from high-quality fibreglass or carbon fibre, both very durable and lightweight materials, ensuring that the boom takes all the load.

You can choose any RAL colour you like or for example a clear coat varnish to emphasise the beauty of the carbon fibre.

The furling boom is developed by the very best in the business and perfected over the years. Our sub-supplier, who we have worked with for 20 years, has very extensive knowledge and experience working with fibreglass and carbon fibre products, such as windmills, that are durable in harsh conditions. This is your guarantee for a product of the highest quality.

Luff track system and headboard cars to suit any demand within our product range come with all needed parts especially made to suit any aluminium or carbon mast.
The luff track system is designed so the sailmaker easily can design an optimal luff curve in the main.

The exit of the endless reefing line on the manual MAINFURL is placed at the inboard end, in the middle underneath of the boom, enabling it to be led to any of the stand-up blocks at the cabin roof and further to the cockpit. This feature also gives the possibility to remove the boom from the yacht without cutting the reefing line. It also means that the reefing line has a firm grip on the furling drive inside the boom, which means safe reefing and less wear on the line.

The MAINFURL kicker is an option and made to fit any yacht. The return force will lift the boom to the furling position. We also make the MAINFURL to fit hydraulic single acting kickers of any brand.

Chafe guard in an elegant slimline design, along the sail opening with two grooves one for sail cover and the other for sun awnings.

The number of main sheet attachments, position and load angles are made to fit all demands. The attachments are padeyes from Antal, with a nice spectra loop.

The mandrel is raised at the outboard end of the boom. This way the boom shell will be lower when the mandrel is in furling position.
